Creighton Formally Charged In Peigan Murder Case
Andrew Creighton 22, Blood Indian from Cardston district, is formally charged with the February 2 murder of his wife Delores 21. The scene on the Peigan reserve at Brocket also found Delores’s two young children, three year old Andrew Robert and about three weeks old Merlin Scott, and Delores’s mother Mrs. Joseph Scott. Creighton was wounded in the abdomen and found at the scene with a .303 rifle nearby. Preliminary hearing date not yet set. About 1,000 Indians reside on the Peigan reserve located roughly 50 miles southwest of Lethbridge.
