Dramatic images show two enemy bombs detonating near the aircraft carrier Ark Royal in the Mediterranean. Despite Italian and German claims of sinking the vessel, the carrier appears capable of withstanding bombing runs as reports continue to circulate.

GO ON STRIKE STELLARTON NS Feb 7 Employees of the Acadia Coal Company's Allan shaft here went on strike yesterday and kept the steel plant in nearby Trenton idle for lack of coal. The strike affected 1200 men.
Bodies of twelve victims from the Trans Canada Airlines crash near Wabaming Ontario were moved to a special train at Armstrong for release to a coroner's jury. The two women victims, Mrs. R. D. Carter of Vancouver and stewardess M. G. Mayne, were among those identified as among the first moved from the wreck two miles from the airport.
A probe by the monitoring board into the T. C. A crash at Armstrong has autopsies ordered. In New Zealand, wooden frame and steel hatchet timber jacks of an exclusive design are being shipped to England to aid rescue and demolition work on bombed buildings.
