A $30,000 burglary at Imperial Jewellery Store on 6th Street prompts a police hunt for three suspects two men and a woman. Two trays of rings including 16 men’s and 10 women’s rings were stolen at about 2 pm Wednesday while a clerk was distracted. Police gave no suspect descriptions.

Alberta sees rates jump to 11.6 percent, with 135,000 unemployed among 1,167,000 workers, while the Lethbridge region also up to 8.2 percent.
