Two of Seven Tough Convicts Recaptured Near Church Barn
In Huntsville Texas on December 27 two of seven hard prisoners who tunneled from the state prison surrendered in a barn near a country church. One is Cecil Bill Isom 25 serving 45 years for robbery and David Crockett McCullough 23 serving two years for robbery. The escape from the main prison involved a 21 foot clay tunnel and a one foot exit hole. The five still at large include a murderer and two life-term criminals. Warden Easley confirms the break ranks as one of the biggest in years.
