Commutation Sought for Staley Hanging Sentence

Calgary December 11 Application has been made to the minister of justice for commutation of sentence for Donald Sherman Staley who faces hanging at Lethbridge jail December 18 for the murder of six year old Donald Goss of Calgary. Staley's counsel John S Mavor said the application was filed November 29 and a ministerial reply will be carefully considered.

Saint John Milk Strike Impacts City Supply

Saint John New Brunswick, December 11, 50,000 residents feel the milk strike by about half the area suppliers.
