Body Is Found In Calgary Area Hit And Run Victim
William Everett Findlay a 46 year old carpenter died after being struck on the Calgary highway one mile north of Macleod around 7 30 pm Monday. RCMP searched for the driver of the car or truck involved. A bystander Art Goeson witnessed the body and notified police. Coroner jury was convened and remains released for burial. Findlay had recently moved from Norwich Ontario to Lethbridge and Burmis before returning. The exact vehicle and motive remain unknown as the investigation continues.

In Vernonia Oregon two 16 year old girls Bernadine King and Mary Lou Wolf were found dead in a gas filled coupe in a lovers lane. The boyfriends Robert J Philips 21 and Allen Jurvakainen 22 died later in a Fortland hospital. They had been unconscious since Sunday morning. Cause was carbon monoxide poisoning.
