GENEVA PARK Ont Aug 20 Hon J G Taggart Saskatchewan minister of agriculture suggested Canadian farmers should at least maintain their present level of reduction of all important agricultural commodities excepting wheat In an address to the Canadian Institute of Public Affairs Mr Taggart said it does seem advantageous in the long view to maintain a fairly substantial reserve of wheat for both political and economic purposes in the latter stages of the war and during the reconstruction period He added that farmers might expand hog and cheese production considerably without danger of over production The job of maintaining wheat reserves must be done by the nations concerned because it could not be done by individual wheat producers He also stated that if peace aims declared by Churchill and Roosevelt can be made effective it is still...
