RAILROAD PROSPERITY Washington, Aug. 7.-Record prosperity for the railroads is shown in interstate commerce commission returns for June. The 153 roads covered by the fig-uros, operating throe-fourths ot the country's mileage reported that their net revcuuo increased nearly $8,000,-000 over June, 1915, the previous record month, and reached a total of $88,283,329. Operating revenues increased more than $38,000,000 totalling $273,867,527, while expenses wore approximately $30,000,000 higher than a year ago.
