Tragic Sun ride ends at railroad crossing near Blahmore
A 1937 Graham sedan driven by John Semaciaz of Bellevue was struck by a westbound engine near a village railroad crossing at about 4 30 p.m. Sunday. Joseph Semaciaz, 68, passenger in the back seat, died at the scene. John, Sophie, and five year old Catherine were injured, with Catherine suffering a broken leg. Two younger children escaped with bruises. John Semaciaz and Mrs Semaciaz, and three children were hospitalized, with Mrs Semaciaz listed as very serious. Police and coroner prepared for an inquest Monday.
