Salyut docking fails as Soyuz lands after aborted link
Three Soviet cosmonauts aboard Soyuz T-8 returned to Earth near Arkalyk 30 kilometers northeast of Moscow after failing to dock with Salyut 7. Tass reported the craft landed at 8:29 a.m. EST, nearly a day after the docking was aborted, with no reentry troubles noted. Man dies after night pursuit crash on Whoop-Up Drive
A 22 year old man from Acadia Road West Lethbridge died in a early morning single car crash while attempting to elude police. Insp. Terry Wauters said the Corvette left Whoop-Up Drive near the bridge at 3 29 a m after police interrupted a vehicle in Acadia district. A witness described a u turn as a police van followed. Police are preparing a report and released few further details.
