Lethbridge native Lt Donaldson safe in England after POW years

Flight Lieutenant Donaldson, Lethbridge native and RAF veteran of ten years, has reached England safely after five years as a German prisoner of war. Born 1912, he trained in England and Iraq, returned to Canada prewar plans with Trans-Canada Air Lines, then rejoined the RAF as war began. He was shot down and captured off Norway on April 12, 1940.

Two Britons Ride Jeep Radiators To Shoot Up Town

In Zwickau Germany on April 20 two British non commissions guided 75 American troops in a 50 mph dash through the city center.
