The Barnwell Bunny House showcases Angora Wooler rabbits bred for fine wool and usefulness in hats and felt. Ralph Baker maintains four rows of pens and notes wool clips about every six weeks plus pedigree work. Nearby, a Mink Farm houses 60 animals with plans for 200 kits, complex pens, and careful record keeping for pelts shipped to New York and Canadian markets.

Mourn Passing of Mrs. Jane Barclay
BEAVER MINES. The death of Mrs. Jane Barclay at her Gladstone Valley farm occurred recently. Born January 1872 in Berkshire Scotland, she married Wm. Barclay in 1898 before moving to Canada. The family settled in Gladstone Valley in 1909. they celebrated 50 years of marriage in 1946. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery Pincher Creek. pallbearers named. Surviving are her husband, three sons Alex Bill Charlie. five daughters Nellie Birth Zizi McCaskie Kemp Robbin Lily. eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Family note heartfelt sympathy.
