Obituary: Rose McDowell dies after long illness
Rose McDowell of away at the Mayo Institute died of heart failure after a recent bed illness. Miss Atkinson, a missionary, was with her at death. Burial services were held at her father's home and Dufton schoolhouse with a public service. Rev A J Lewis and Miss Atkinson led the rites, about fifty cars followed to Green Prairie Cemetery. The Rev. Lewis spoke on there being but one step between me and death. The family receives sympathy from the community.

Local Pioneer Mrs Huxley Dies After Fair Attendance
Mrs John Huxley longtime district resident died of heart failure after attending the Central Butte and District Agricultural fair on July 24. Funeral held at the family home near Riverhurst conducted by Rev Kennedy, with burial in Moose Jaw. Survived by husband John and five children Lynden Neil Jack William Nellie and Mrs Dunn. funeral attendees included Mr and Mrs McDonald and Mrs Dunn.
