UNRRA Ships Horses to Poland as War Losses Replaced
UNRRA delivered its hundred thousandth horse to Poland, unloaded from the Danish vessel Ulosnaes at Gdynia. The program aims to move 3,000 horses to Poland by year end, with horses branded NRRA as they arrive. Poland lost many horses during the war and expects full replacement within four years.
