Jamestown Amateur Swimming Club Opens Season
Arrangements are in hand for the Jamestown Amateur Swimming Club season 1946 47 with a Saturday opening ceremony at 2 15 pm led by the Mayor. A carnival will follow with events open to all, judged by President W Hutson or Mr Stead, and trophies hoped for. Caretakers Mr and Mrs Patten are thanked for their work, and swimmers are urged to avoid mud by not using concreted pool sections. Admission on Saturday is by silver coin or season tickets from the treasurer Mr A Wenham.
