Local notes report N E Nunn’s business trip to Saskatoon and subscriptions offered for Saskatoon daily papers. Residents including Mr and Mrs Younger and Mr and Mrs Servidge drove to Saskatoon. A hospital appendicitis operation and various social events are noted along with farm meetings and a forthcoming wedding.
Mr Dunbar addressed a meeting at the Swift Current Trail schoolhouse on Wednesday evening. Mr and Mrs A Boldrick and family from Stranraer motored in last week on a combined business and pleasure trip. Boldrick sold his farm in section 10 northeast to William Affleck. Deane planned to take his pupils to Salter on Thursday to visit the Better Farming train.
A Thursday evening meeting at the school house featured Conservative candidate W G Dunbar of Biggar and speakers F J Batute Perdue and M Matthews near Biggar with Harry Brown as chair. An auto trip to Battleford on Saturday brought back a large catch of fish and bereaved families received community sympathy from Mr and Mrs H N Veale Mr and Mrs E Danskin and Mr Robert Stuart.
