Kamloops Growth and Transport Developments 1885
The Bay area moved its store to town as the Kamloops steamer was built with Mara machinery from the Mara stern-wheeler. Skuzzy served as a floating hotel before Mara bought it. By 1885 Kamloops railway reached the town, a through east to Port Moody train arrived November 7, and a new court house began construction on the central site as the old building outlived its usefulness.
