Cancellation of Old Batavia Paper Currency Orders
The Supreme Court of Justice at Batavia is directed to cancel and deface all Old Batavia Paper Currency. A committee should attest each note as discharged, preventing forgery, with notes destroyed only if necessary to avoid counterfeit risk. Proclamation recall of Lombard Bank notes and foreclosures
Government proclaims recall of Lombard Bank notes under the 4th article dated 1 November 1813. After six months all loans will be recalled mortgaged properties foreclosed and sold for silver. Bank notes issuance to be halted and Lombard Bank dissolved with notices in English Dutch and local languages posted in Batavia and environs.
