Proclamation on stamp duty and paper currency reform in Java
Government announces a 5 percent stamp duty on all paper currency renewed or unstamped from January 1 1813, with stamping offices at Batavia and two other houses. A commission will re stamp papers presented from December 1 1812 to January 1 1813, and non compliance after February 1 1813 ceases to be legal.

The 1819 Batavia regulation fixes carriage and horse hire by the day and half day with rates for four wheel phaetons two and one horse coach chaises carriages and hearses.
