In Sydney two men assaulted 26 year old George Russell Winktles on Oxford Street Woall aben near Archibald Fountain and robbed him of 14 10. He was struck on the head with a heavy instrument as he reached for a cigarette pack and lost memory for a time. Detectives were informed by the victim and Constable Fowler found him on the footpath. The victim sustained a slight spinal injury and the assailants fled.
