Skeletons Found In Cave Near Tabulam
Three human skeletons were found in a cave near Tabulam in the Currabubu Jah Hills by Constable Bothell and Snowden. The first skeleton lay under about five tons of sandstone with a intact skull and broken bones showing fire damage and possible bullet marks. Other skeletons were mostly complete with bones charred and skulls resembling Aboriginal features. A theory suggests an Aboriginal burial ground, but locals doubt such burial practices. Metal fragments found with the skeletons were broken, and a notorious Australian killer once operated on the Northern Rivers years ago.
