Tennis Club Social Aids New Courts Drive at Gum Flat Hall
A Saturday night social at Gum Flat hall raised funds for the Stagey Creek Tennis Club to complete new courts. Dancers and euchre players enjoyed music by Mrs Maher with Miss Richardson and Mr C Farrell on kettledrums. Donations from numerous locals and hotels supported the fund. trophies were donated by multiple firms. Winners of guessing contests and chocolate waltzes are noted. Club president F Makin thanked participants as funds near goal despite some sums remaining unsettled.
