A motor bus carrying four British tourists from Boulogne to Paris collided with a second bus carrying 23 French travelers on a Sunday outing. The French bus was smashed. one woman died at once, five others died of injuries, and ten were hospitalized.
In Beechworth district, an elderly inmate, William Banner of Beechworth Benevolent Home, was found at the foot of Prospect Rock several miles from town yesterday afternoon after disappearing Friday. He died while being transported back to Beechworth, suffering extensive injuries.
A fire early yesterday morning at Fraser's sawmills in Grafton caused about £15000 damage. The engine room and mill machinery were destroyed but no timber stock was lost.
Cornelius Tower aged about 64 a farmer of East Guyon was found dead on his property yesterday with part of his head blown away and a discharged shotgun across his legs. The condition of the body suggests he had been dead for several days.

In Berlin on Sunday secret police arrested Wilhelm Niemoller pastor of St Anne's Church Dahlem and Bishop Martin Niemoller leader of the Confessional movement for praising his brother and urging support. Altogether 67 pastors have been arrested since July 1 with some released. Bishop Mueller preached from Niemoller's pulpit at Christ Church, Dahlem. State Commissioner Laucke barred from Thuringia Bishops Marraren Messer and Wurm Wurtemburg.
Paris reports the Tour de France victory by a French rider in 138 hours 8 minutes 31 seconds. Italian rider Vicini finished second in 139 hours 5 minutes 61 seconds.
