Arthur Thomas James aged 17 a farm hand was found guilty of murdering Mrs Edna Clarke Cadd wife of his employer at Baldhill near Moonta. The jury recommended mercy and the youth spoke from the dock saying he had ill feeling towards the victim and did not know why he shot her.
