Sydney reports a British steamer bombing incident is tied to the murder of Michael Reidy aged 44 of Leichhardt whose body was found in the Murrumbidgee river near Narrandera. Police say death from a fractured skull, suggesting foul play, with preliminary post mortem supporting homicide.
The local wheat market eased today with bulk new season parcels quoted at 46 per bushel for bagged lots.
A Hawker Demon overturned after a forced landing near Frampton during a Melbourne to Cootamundra service flight. Flying Officer Jack Frederick Pallon was killed and Leading Aircraftman Fitzgerald suffered severe burns. Dudley Lorraine OBrien 22 baker of Windsor remanded at the City Court until December 14 on a charge of murdering his wife Margarethe 20 in Liverpool on November 23. Mrs OObrien was found dead in a paddock at Parramatta.
