At the Show Homestead Warrior led by W Newcomb’s Minnamurra herd faced tough judging with Wollongbar Brutus narrowly ahead on head and shoulders. Min Tamurra Liberal, sired by Homestead Warrior, placed reserve in Inverell, while Cook’s Monel Cherub won the under four years class. A car crashed over a cliff near Martine Terrace at night after being reported stolen. Police noted the vehicle wreckage and a male passenger was found in North Sydney Hospital in serious condition claiming injuries from a motor accident. A guard was placed over his bed for further inquiries.
