Theatre Improvements Praise Harris Spirit and Profit
The spirit of Mr Harris defies competition and makes the theatre more convenient and profitable. Boxes are enlarged, Bow-street entrance altered, and pit access moved to reduce crowding. The interior will be beautified in costly fashion, aiming for a refined, elegant final appearance. Proprerors show gratitude for local support, though some feel Harris is overly lavish in his favors.
