Labor Day Fest Dims in Hosmer Weather but Ends in Success
A damp Labor Day in Hosmer muted outdoor hopes yet crowds gathered for a late showing of the carnival. Decorators battled rain as the Cole man band led processions to the recreation grounds where events including log sawing, football, baby show, horse races, field events, and prizes drew a notable turnout despite the weather. Winners included best delivery turnout Hosmer Livery & Transfer Co and best heavy drawing team A. J. Pratt, with Robert Gourlay taking top horse racing honors among others marking a memorable close to Hosmer’s Labor Day celebrations.
