Bowling rules update set 1926 standards for bowls
The ABC committee at Sydney in April 1926 proposed new bowling regulations to come into force September 1926. They specify bowl sizes from 4 7/8 to 5 3/16 inches major diameter, max weights 3 lb 4 oz to 3 lb 8 oz, minor diameter 1/2 inch to 7/16 inch less than major, and a minor diameter rule allowing easier use for smaller hands.
