Water rights protest over Horsham soldiers’ tomato crop

Three Horsham returned soldiers with overseas service sought to buy 20 acres near a State Rivers Commission to irrigate their tomato crop. The commission warned of dangerous precedent, leaving the men ready to let a public body tend and harvest the crop rent-free with proceeds to the Food for Britain appeal.
