Horsham Rotary Club organizes a three week Youth Week dedicated to youth welfare. A wide program includes 20 visits to institutions and factories in the district with talks, tours, and demonstrations.
Mrs A Morris, formerly Ethel Krauss of Green Park Hor sham, loses her two sons Winston aged four and Graham aged two near Stawell. She finds the elder boy in a waterhole after a search around the property. The younger was found on a rocky ledge, both pronounced dead despite resuscitation efforts by Mrs Morris, her husband, and a local doctor.
A meeting of Arapiles council and allied shires debated forming a five shires health grouping to share administration costs and weigh options. Horsham, Horshan and others pressed for a conference to advance a municipal health agreement, with officials urged to pursue inclusion of several local authorities and weigh weights and measures reforms.
The Municipal Association of Shire of Kocunburra discusses banking provisions with exemptions under the act. Drs Geauié and Kirsopp move to seek exemption while secretary Cy Slovlair labels the current setup as practically piratical. The council aims to close loopholes and prepare for potential protest notices.
