Memorial to Pioneers Sought for Dooen Cairn in Horsham
The Horsham Australian Natives Association revived plans to erect a cairn on the Wimmera River site of early settlement at Dooen. A fund is set to collect donations for the monument near the old Darlot land, with landowner consent from Mr OV Fechler and council support. The piece notes graves of Carter children and urges readers to remit subscriptions.
