Horsham Musical Night Showed Ballarat Quartet Charm
Horsham Town Hall hosted a refined concert on Wednesday featuring the Ballarat Optiminta Quartette Messrs Jones Lemke Hocking and Curnow with local talent from the High School Choir and Horsham artistes aiding the fundraiser. The program included Way Down Upon The Swannee River Old Ned and The Tinker’s Widdicombe Fair along with Italian selections and crowd-pleasing duets by Hawking and Lemke. The choir impressed with balanced performance and the veterans Jones and Curnow delivered strong tenor and baritone pieces. The event, arranged by the ladies auxiliary to aid school funds, drew a moderately large audience and ended with the National Anthem.
