Small Flood in Horsham Along Wimmera River Banks
Heavy rains caused the Wimmera River to spill over its banks in Horsham's south, flooding McPherson Street OCallaghan Parade and Firebrace Street. Children waded and youths rode bicycles in the water while a horse drawn conveyance moved pedestrians. By Wednesday morning the flood receded though Kenny's Ford bridge remained unsafe for trade due to high water.

Wimmera Farmers Seek Larger Wheat Relief Share
A deputation from the Viera wheat country urged the Minister of Agriculture on Wednesday to push for a larger wheat bounty for farmers whose crops were destroyed by a hailstorm. The group cited 40 affected farmers across Minyip Coromby Rayanneup North and Kewell, with losses from November 4 totaling 8300 acres damaged and yields varying up to 24 bushels per acre. The minister promised to present the request and loss details to the State Cabinet for consideration.
