The thirteenth annual meeting of Dennys Lascelles Ltd was held at Moorabool street offices with Hon. Agar Wynne presiding. Directors Volum Young and Bell attended. The report for year ending June 30 1925 shows profit of £21,676 10s 10d, with reserves and dividends outlined. The Swan Hill livestock and land branch contributed to profits, and a substantial balance carried forward was reported. The chairman discussed wool market conditions and prospects, noting high clip and fluctuating prices, and predicting cautious but profitable outlook for the wool trade.
The annual meeting notes undivided profits of £1188 19/1 carried to next year and calls for a reserve equal to one year’s dividend. Directors approve increasing the reserve fund by £10,000 and boosting director remuneration by £300 per year. Auditors E Bechervaise & Sons are re-elected with £200 remuneration.
