In Warracknabeal Court of Petty Sessions Police Magistrate Mr P EB Biggin presided as Walter Henry Lampard and William Clay Brown faced a charge of selling suit lengths to Sheep Hills residents with an alleged inducement of a Town Talk Tailors make up contract in Melbourne for £20 1s as claimed by six local buyers. The Melbourne firm denied any such arrangement and the defence argued buyers were misinformed about make up costs.
