Three 45 foot diameter spherical tanks built by a North of England firm are to supply the new Shell refinery at Stanlow near Ellesmere Port. Each tank holds 140 000 gallons of butane gas at 70 psi, with a giant cooling tower visible in the background.
District Employment Officer Mr L Bowden said UK skilled migrants expected early next year were absorbed into Horsham city, mainly in metal and building trades. The 50 migrants would satisfy local demand for skilled labor while firms like Prestige and local builders anticipate further hires from British families and international sources.
