Rebuilding Petitions and Proposals in Parliament
The Historical Register notes three petitions for rebuilding churches, urging maintenance of Protestant interest. A grand Committee on the Supply grants 71,527 pounds for the Office of Ordnance land service for 1719. Debates on a bill to strengthen Protestant interests include Hampden and Cartwright supporting, others opposing, with a lengthy session on January 7.
