Kettle Valley Line Construction Starts West of Midway
Construction work on the Kettle Valley Railway west from Midway began Tuesday. J G McLean & Co., contractors, arrived with equipment and crews, aiming to push the project before snow arrives. A Schulli leads 100 men for ten miles of new steel, with Midway as headquarters and Rock Creek as the next target, as subcontracts and winter work proceed toward Merritt and Penticton divisional arrangements.

Vancouver October dth the first meet yg of the shareholders in the Pentic ton Railway Company a Great Northern subsidiary was held in MacNeill Bird Mcdonald and Bayfield offices. Louis Hill heads the system as president. The Penticton line, operating under a provincial charter, will extend from Penticton on the Great Northern main to Oroville, with surveys completed and plots filed soon.
