Sewing Club Report Highlights Relief Work and Funds

Duncan Ross former member for Yale Cariboo in the Dominion Hone died in Victoria from apoplexy. He served Yale Cariboo from 1901 to 1905 and was defeated by Martin Burrell. He later ran in Comox Atlin in 1911 and lost to H C Clements. He lived quietly in Victoria after politics, previously editor at Greenwood and provincial horticulturist.

A Saturday night patriotic smoker at the Opera House drew crowds for boxing bouts featuring Bob and Les Robertson and others. The brass band performed and the event raised over 70 dollars for tobacco sent to the boys at the front, with plans for monthly gatherings.

CPR Schedule Expands Lake Service Sunday July
