Travel into Similkameen on the Oroville to Grand Forks line

The Gazette describes a travel feature over the line from Oroville to Grand Forks, noting 41 miles of excellent track, a flood swollen Similkameen River, and early developments like a small electric plant at Similkameen Falls. It paints Oroville’s progress, scenic views of the Okanagan valley, timber harvests north of Nine Mile, and signals plans for future expansion and reforestation, with Molson and Camp McKinney mentioned as nearby points of interest.

Pollock Mines Limited Adjour ned Meeting and Health of Treasury

The adjourned annual meeting of Pollock Mines Limited at Hedley saw H C Pollock preside with C E B Oliver as secretary. Auditors reported 78 percent of treasury stock intact, 22 percent disposed of to fund Copper Cliff claims and Pollock group development. Directors re-elected: H C Pollock, C E B Oliver, H W Yates, J Gladden, B A C Studd, with Pollock as president and Oliver as secretary. Development on the Martin claim shows a strong vein and payable ore, justifying mill and tramway construction and a higher treasury stock price to raise funds. Directors commend six months of progress and expect continued productive work.
