Highland Valley properties near Ashcroft sold to British Columbia Copper Co. for 190000 dollars. R A Brown has machinery at Volcanic mine ten miles from Grand Forks and plans spring inspection. A 1000 foot shaft will extend to 1200 feet depth. Brown to erect a 1000-ton smelter near the mine and copper company to build a mill at Princeton property shipping concentrates to Greenwood shelter. Mill to use oil flotation. A shipment of 100 tons of matte from Hidden Creek smelter arrived at Granby smelter. Matte rich in iron used as flux for Phoenix ore. Hedley General Hospital Holds Postponed Meeting
The Hedley General Hospital held its postponed annual meeting at Praternity Hall Tuesday evening at 7 30. Attendance was modest but business proceeded with CO P Dalton as chair and FH Seqneh as secretary. Minutes were approved and the treasurer reported a satisfactory year despite extra costs for purchases and equipment. Directors appointed for the coming year were G P Jones, PH Preveb, G H Sproule, H D Barnes, R S Collin, TR Willey, and P Dalton.

Hedley Toys Lose at Keremeos in Dark Fifteen Minute Halves
On Saturday Hedley hockey team traveled to Keremeos and were defeated 6 to 15. The game ran through dark conditions after starting at five o clock. Keremeos added new players who influenced the result. Only Lloyd Armstrong was penalized for two minutes for slashing. H Burns officiated as referee and R H Carmichael as judge of play.
