Western Universities form overseas battalion in Canada
The 196th Battalion Overseas C.EF at Western Universities is being organized in British Columbia with units at the University of British Columbia. Training and sleeping quarters will be set in University buildings near the parade ground. Major O. S. Mackay and Major R. W. Beech lead the command with recruitment drawn from graduates, students, and professionals.
