Work on the dam progressed with rush to finish before high water but piers on the West Section lacked complete forms and cement tracks, a wing chain leak caused delays then repaired. McLean increased shifts to ten and eleven hours as river levels rose and damaged cofferdam briefly. By week end piers were secure and the section expected to be completed next week with stop logs and machinery for rising and lowering.
