State Electricity Committee notes grant for a public hall at Buxton. Roads Board tender invites. Immunization campaign approved for part of the shire. Association reports travel costs complaints about pocket expenses. penalties issue noted. Road work and carriage weight permissions granted. Tree issue on a road discussed. Yarra Glen District meeting invited for October.
Healesville host first Fusion Fair at Memorial Hall drawing a capacity crowd. Badger Creek CWA staged 100 gowns of Spring fashion plus retro 1855 items with local models trained by Mrs Rene Walier. Highlights included Fittory Kelly’s compering and Mia’s music, with outfits from Rene Walder and Jian Mare ski wear.
