War Service Fund meet at Queen's Eight Hours Day event
A war relief sports day held at Queen's Eight Hours Day featured a well organized program by the VAAA Northern Districts with strong local support. Notable figures included E. B. Arrows te president and M. R. G. Peter secretary treasurer, with contributions from the Indies' auxiliary and numerous volunteers. About 140 raised for comforts and recreation for fighting forces, with many donations listed and a busy program of wood chopping, running events, and horse activities.
