Healesville Christmas Generosity Celebrated in Town Event

Healesville residents supported a joyful function that raised 110 pounds for the institute. A square dance exhibition drew big crowds with Mesdames Rene Wallder Nan Lasry Marge Christie Misa Joan Quinn and Messrs Eugene Watts Peter Hocking Fred Wing Ted Bulman, after which an orchid sprayed gifts to each dancer. Special prize of six bottles of cordial went to Mr. C Thorp. A substantial list of donors and helpers is acknowledged by the president Mrs. D Brien and secretary Mrs Pat MacNamara for their role in the effort.

Healesville Infant Welfare Committee Elects Officers

The Healesville Infant Welfare Ladies' Committee held its November meeting with strong attendance. They elected permanent officers and agreed to fund a larger building with necessary facilities. Offers of town support were noted and a public fund was proposed. A card party at Mrs Ewart's home on December 1 was arranged and a street stall planned for early December. Officers: President Mrs G H Richardson. Vice Presidents Mesdames U Ewart R Dennis C Thorpe R J Richards. Treasurer Mrs J McLean. Secretary Mrs Bowman.

Balance Sheet For We're Back Again Show

The Healesville Revue Company presents the balance sheet for the third night of their production Were Back Again. Receipts list ticket sales 29 pounds 17 shillings and program sales 17 shillings total 41 pounds 4 pence. Expenditure covers orchestra 12 pounds 12 shillings sound system 4 pounds advertising 11 shillings 4 pence costume hire profit 8 shillings 8 pence total 91 pounds 4 pence.

Healesville Revue Company Adopts New Constitution

At the December 1 meeting Healesville Revue Company adopted a constitutional form detailing the aims and organization. A general meeting on December 15 will elect the first office-bearers, with voting rights extended to all who participated in the 1833 productions.
