A lively revue drew large crowds with sketches and comic sequences. The cast featured Norm Walder and the Lasry team plus returning Memo favorites Ill and Athlaide, celebrating vaudeville routines, music, dance, and a western finale amid humorous misadventures.
Local police said a bus returning from a tour left the road after a car heading in the opposite direction forced the driver to swing toward the mountains. The vehicle struck the edge and a passenger sustained a broken ankle as the bus toppled over the edge.
A youth was escorted to Havel Park Receiving Depot in Melbourne under child welfare arrangements. The movement appears part of protective custody procedures.
Anzac Day remarks recount memorial services in Healesville and district. Chaplain General A H Stern urged unity over party politics and urged support for allied neighbors. Apex Club members visited Healesville during their Melbourne conference, with many locals attending ceremonies and tours. The council discussed funding for an Infant Welfare Centre and Sanctuary redevelopment, including a grant of 2250 pounds.
