Thos Douglas family headed east for the season. Ravine concert pleased many despite sharp whistles. Edna Warren returned after teaching at Kinsmore. Palmerston skating may be possible at Lenore after this week. Two Crandall youths wrecked a cutter en route to Lenore ball. Palmerston school closed for now. Sutherland home for holidays and reengaged next year.

The Orrwold community celebrated the church opening with Rev. Chas H. Stewart of St. Paul's Winnipeg delivering two sermons despite bad weather. A Monday evening fowl supper and entertainment raised about $5. The frame church, costing around $3000 with a large front panel window and basement, stands as a modern Manitoba country church.
Wa Weeks of Cleverton Chippenham writes to the editor detailing a plan to send over 500 men and boys this season to farmers west of Winnipeg. He promises good homes, twelve months engagement with board, pay based on worth, and priority to farmers who meet requested terms. He aims to send 50 married couples and notes deadlines for March placements, urging timely farmer letters by January 1.
