Council reviews waste handling and related town tasks

The R M of Blanshard council met on Sept 13 to discuss waste management options and budget items. They reviewed insurance changes, gravel testing contacts, tire recycling capacity, and a new fire truck delivery. Expenses and invoices totaling several items were authorized and community groups funded from VLT funds.

Hamiota council approves various notices and plans

The R M of Hamiota council meets August 10 approving sewer and water pay, minor ball raffle plans with about 15000 in prizes and Half cost sharing with province, grant of 34700 for park upgrades, road concerns, weed board funding, culvert tenders, and staff appointments. The Village of Hamiota also holds a meeting approving building permits and street light and park projects.
